Independent Living Skills is a core program. The goal of the IL Skills program is to support the individual consumer in gaining a practical set of skills, which can be applied to all areas of their life.

NSILC recognizes that each person is an individual, therefore assistance is provided according to his/her own situation and needs.

The IL Skills program focuses on providing information referral, training and empowerment.

The IL Centre can assist with completing forms, IL skills training, research, and more in order to ensure each individual consumer is equipped to deal with various levels of government, institutions, service providers and/or the community within which they live.
